The first Global Stock Take (GST) is currently underway and we have some updates to bring you from COP28.
The GST, mandated by the 2015 Paris Agreement, requires each participating country to assess its advancements toward emission reduction and adaptation goals. This process also entails governmental parties identifying gaps and collectively devising strategies for a more sustainable future.

Ray Gesser is energized after Week 1 of the United Nations Climate Change Convention in Dubai (COP28). Gaesser, a Solutions from the Land board member and Iowa farmer, says the SfL team has gone in with the mindset of wanting to get as much done as possible to uplift farmer voices. And the team is excited about the positive momentum it’s making.

This week, Nov. 6-8, the University of Iowa, Iowa State University and EPA Region 7 came together to co-host the Anaerobic Digestion on the Farm Conference – a comprehensive look at the anaerobic digester industry, which converts manure and other organic or biological materials to renewable biogas through a series of biological processes. Solutions from the Land was a proud partner in the educational three-day event.
